A huge Texas thank you to all who worked so hard to get the freedom candidate elected as governor of this great state! I cannot tell you how humbled I am to have been able to carry your banner forth. Even though we didn't win this battle, we will not give up fighting for the people and we will remain ever vigilant to hold our elected officials accountable.

What We Texans have accomplished has not only caught the attention of the nation and the world but it has inspired as only truth can inspire. We have not lost hope. We have energized and will strengthen our resolve to fight another day.

While I must concede the loss of this battle, I will not make concessions that reduce this fight to the level of mere sport.

KB Hutchison is a lying sellout who has been the queen of ear marks in the Senate and proud of it.

Polls released this week by Public Policy Polling and Rasmussen Reports both show no statistical movement for any of the Republican candidates for Governor this month, indicating a runoff is likely inevitable.

PPP's February 9th poll showed Rick Perry at 39%, Kay Bailey Hutchison at 28%, and Debra Medina at 24%, with a 4.9% margin of error. Their latest poll, released yesterday, shows Perry 40%, Hutchison 31%, and Medina at 20%. Rasmussen's February 2nd poll showed Perry at 44%, Hutchison 29%, and Medina at 16%. Today's release shows Perry 48%, Hutchison 27%, and Medina at 16%.

Texas leads the nation—in decline

The Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government reported yesterday that fourth quarter 2008 to 2009 Texas state tax revenues have declined by 16.8%^a.

Today, Debra Medina condemned the continuing failure of the RickPerry economy.

"Rick Perry is leading Texas, all right," Medina said—"right into a ditch."

"This latest report ranks Texas third to last in the country—while states like North Carolina and California are leading the recovery.

Our founders fomented and successfully executed a revolution against the greatest western power of their age. The mainstream media of their day called them radicals, rogues and traitors, while we know them today as the Founders of the greatest republic in history. But would it not have been easier and more tranquil for them to have endured the tyranny of the King and justified it as divine right as did the pundits of their time?

Would it not have enhanced their reputations back in England, in the short term, to have behaved in a manner more politically correct? They could have turned a blind eye or a deaf ear when the King continued to trample on their inalienable rights as Human Beings or privileges as free English People.

WHARTON, TX, Monday, February 15, 2010 – The Medina campaign may have been hit by coordinated negative attacks by the Governor and U.S. Senator against the campaign but this attack was really one on the people of Texas. It was an attack intended to divert our attention from the important issues. Distract and divert is exactly what career politicians do when their record is examined and We Texans should be angry. We deserve honesty and transparency in state government. We deserve excellence.

I was born in Dublin, Ireland 38 years after the 1916 Easter Rising in which a band of Irish patriots rose up against oppressive British rule of their country. After an initial success in taking over the Dublin General Post Office, the rebellion eventually failed. The leaders, heroes to the Irish people, were summarily executed.

When I was young my mother used to sing to me the Ballad of Kevin Barry, "just a lad of 18 summers who proudly held his head up high." Despite worldwide protests, including a plea from the Pope, Kevin Barry was hanged by the British for refusing to tell the authorities the names of his accomplices.

BEEVILLE — When Debra Parker was in high school in the late 1970s, her parents limited her to two after-school activities at A.C. Jones High School. I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans.

WHARTON, TX, Wednesday – Continuing her commitment to lead Texas onto new paths of freedom and prosperity, Debra Medina released today a sweeping proposal for addressing the transportation needs of Texas. Governor Perry’s Department of Transportation has been fraught with cronyism, abuse and scandal.

Just last week, a concerned and irritated citizen called the Medina Headquarters. Her small Texas business, American Security Solutions, had bid on a project to install security cameras for the North Texas Toll Authority. TxDOT awarded the project to JAI Inc., a global company that has home offices in Denmark and Japan and too many subsidiaries, aliases and umbrella corporations to follow their multiple rabbit trails.

WHARTON, TX Tuesday, February 9, 2010 – After surveying likely Republican primary voters from February 4th to 7th, a North Carolina-based Public Policy Polling (PPP) report shows Debra Medina is coming on strong.

According to the report, although Perry is at 39% to Kay Bailey Hutchison's 28%, Debra Medina is now at a whopping 24%! There are major splits within the race along ideological lines according to the poll results. Medina is now outpolling Hutchison with conservatives by a 25-23 margin.

"The big question for Debra Medina is whether there’s enough unhappy voters out there for her to get into a runoff with Rick Perry," said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling.
